French door balconies – elegance and functionality

Balconies of the French door type are classic balcony doors, most commonly found in English homes with garden access. Their characteristic feature is a double sash construction with a floating mullion, often complemented by top and side fanlights, which ensures optimal interior lighting.

Due to often serving as entrance doors, French doors are equipped with a 5-point espagnolette by the German company Winkhaus, solid MACO hinges adjustable in three planes, and a durable Stormguard threshold, guaranteeing safety and comfort of use.

Door sash: 68 mm – durable and well-insulated
Two seals in the frame and sash: Schlegel – high tightness and protection against weather conditions
Threshold: Stormguard – durable, load-resistant, and providing comfort of use
Glazing unit: 27 mm, Ug = 1.1 W/m²K – excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
Warm edge spacer: TGI – minimizes heat loss and reduces condensation
