Sash windows – tradition in a modern form

Sash windows are classic structures associated primarily with the architecture of Great Britain, Ireland, and northern France. Their characteristic feature is the up-and-down opening system, which gives them a unique, historical character.

Our offer also includes sash windows with springs located in the sashes. The use of springs means that the construction does not require a wide frame, which allows for a significant increase in the glass area and lets more natural light into the interior.

The windows are standardly equipped with pulleys, locks, hooks, and sash rings, thanks to which they retain full functionality and an original appearance. Additionally, the aesthetics of classic designs are emphasized by external horns and the possibility of using wooden, stick-on glazing bars.

Heritage sash windows

We also offer windows in the Heritage version, designed for buildings located in conservation areas. This variant is distinguished by:

  • narrow sash and frame profile (140 mm frame),
  • possibility of using single glazing,
  • glazing from the outside,
  • traditional mechanism based exclusively on weights.

The Heritage solution allows retaining the original appearance of the woodwork while meeting conservation requirements.

Window construction

Ecodrew windows are made of the highest quality components that ensure durability, structural stability, and excellent thermal parameters. Their quality is made up of carefully selected elements:

Box width: 150 mm or 170 mm

Spring system in the sash – ensures smooth and light operation of the window

High-quality glued timber – stable, durable, and resistant to deformation

4-layer paint coating – protects against moisture, UV rays, and damage

24 mm glazing unit, Ug = 1.1 W/m²K – universal glazing with good thermal parameters

TGI warm edge spacer – reduces heat loss and the risk of condensation

SCHLEGEL seal system – high tightness and protection against weather conditions

External horns – emphasize the traditional character of the window

Hardwood sill – 58 mm – durable and load-resistant

Opening types of sash windows

Up-and-down sliding windows are available in several sash configuration variants:

  • both sashes sliding,
  • one sliding sash, one fixed sash,
  • both sashes fixed.
  • Thanks to this, the construction can be adapted to the needs of the building and functional requirements.
